We are pleased to announce that a new trial will be held for the first time in 2023 to help prevent heartburn. In order to ensure a positive outcome, a follow-up trial will be held between July 14, 2022 and June 12, 2022.
The first of the new trials will be held in October 2022, and the second in October 2023.

The third trial will be conducted by AstraZeneca and will be held from June 17, 2023 to March 31, 2027.

Prilosec, Nexium, Prilocaine and Prilocaine are all prescription-only medications containing the active ingredient esomeprazole. They work by inhibiting the production of the histone 3D which plays a key role in cell proliferation, metastasis and cancer cell invasion. Nexium, on the other hand, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by blocking the production of histone proteins.
Nexium is also the active ingredient in Prilocaine.
Prilocaine is an antifungal medication used to treat a variety of fungal infections. It is used for the treatment of yeast infections, particularly vaginal and urethral yeast infections, such as Candida and Candida albicans infections.
Nexium is used to treat the following conditions:
• Allergic to ketoconazole (an antifungal medication), and it is also used to treat fungal infections including cryptococcal meningitis.
• Non-specific against chlamydia.
• Non-specific against parainfluor yellow (a fluoroquinolone antibiotic).

Pharmacokinetic model: Emax, half-life, AUC, Cmax, t½, AUC0-t½; elimination: E: Eq. 1-1.50, E: Eq. 3-4; elimination: Eq. 1-4.10, E: Eq. 5-6.10, AUC0-t0, t1; AUC0, C: Eq. 1-1.50, AUC: Eq. 1-1.50, Cmax: Eq. 1-1.50, t½: Eq. 1-1.50; IC50: IC50 = 2.5–3.3 micrograms.hr; IC50: IC50 = 4.8–5.5 micrograms.hr. The elimination half-life of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) after oral administration (t½) and following nebulization therapy (t½) was about 1.5–2 hours. The elimination half-life of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) after nebulization therapy was about 1–3 hours. The IC50 for esomeprazole after nebulization therapy was about 1 microgram.kg-1/day. The IC50 for esomeprazole after nebulization therapy was about 0.1 microgram.kg-1/day. The following doses of nebulized esomeprazole were given in combination with an oral antacid.
Pharmacodynamics: esomeprazole (NEXIUM) was administered with or without the addition of an acid, at concentrations of esomeprazole (0.25, 0.5, 1.0 mg/kg) and at concentrations of magnesium (5, 10, 15, 20 mg/kg), aluminum hydroxide (AHA) (0.2, 0.4, 1.2, 2.2, 3.2 mg/kg), bismuth subsalicylate (Bumex) (0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 40 mg/kg), cholestyramine (ChE) (0.3, 0.6, 1.4, 3.0, 5.0, 7.0, 10.6, 16.6, 32.8, 40 mg/kg) in the absence of an acid. The acid was added to the solution in the absence of any other agent. The mixture was administered once after every 30 to 45 minutes until the required concentration of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) was reached. The maximal effect of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) was reached in 1 hour and the elimination half-life was about 1.2 hours.
Pharmacokinetics: The plasma concentration (Cmax) and the area under the concentration curve (AUC0-t) of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) were measured after two times of a nebulized solution of esomeprazole (NEXIUM). The pharmacokinetic parameters (AUC0-t0) and their elimination half-lives (t1/2) are summarized in Table. The plasma levels of esomeprazole were significantly higher in patients who received an acid compared to the patients who received an acid alone (2.2, 5.3, and 4.4 microgram/day, respectively). The pharmacokinetic parameters of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) after nebulization therapy were significantly different in patients who received an acid or an acid-containing combination. The pharmacokinetic parameters of esomeprazole (NEXIUM) after nebulization therapy were significantly different in patients who received an acid compared to patients who received an acid alone.
